Overview

  • Serve as a Knowledge Lawyer for the Real Estate Group, based in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., or Houston.
  • Develop and implement the knowledge strategy for the US and global Real Estate Group, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor legal and business developments relevant to Real Estate, preparing current awareness updates and client alerts for the Group and its clients.
  • Create, organize, and maintain a comprehensive collection of Real Estate knowledge resources, including standard forms, precedents, best practice documents, and captured matter descriptions and lessons learned.
  • Design, organize, and deliver training programs and workshops for Real Estate Group lawyers, encompassing seminars, workshops, and mentoring for junior associates.
  • Evaluate, support, and drive the adoption of modern legal technology and AI solutions, requiring expertise or strong interest in these areas, to enhance legal service delivery within the Group.
  • Provide direct legal, market, and practical expertise to Real Estate Group members, supporting individual practitioners with client matters and resource location.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of real estate legal experience as an admitted and practicing lawyer, gained in a large law firm or corporate/financial institution legal department.
  • Candidates must possess deep subject-matter expertise in various aspects of Real Estate legal work and commercial issues, and be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
  • The typical annual salary range for this position is $255,000 to $338,000, with final compensation depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and internal pay alignment.
