This Real Estate Paralegal position is based in the firm's New York office.
You will support attorneys across all phases of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and real estate finance.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive due diligence, reviewing and summarizing title commitments, surveys, UCC searches, and leases, and identifying potential issues.
You will draft, review, and manage a wide range of transaction documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, deeds, escrow instructions, and various organizational entity documents.
The role involves coordinating multi-party closings, managing pre- and post-closing processes, including execution packages, disbursements, and document recordation, and preparing closing binders.
You will act as a primary liaison among clients, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel to ensure transaction accuracy and efficiency.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience in a law firm, with extensive experience in title and survey review, commercial leasing, real estate finance, and managing complex, multi-state closings.
Candidates should possess strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational and drafting skills, initiative, the ability to operate independently, and strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and provide guidance to junior paralegals.
The typical pay scale for this position ranges from $81,000 to $107,000, with actual compensation dependent on the candidate’s education, experience, and skills.
