Overview

Paralegal role in the UCC Compliance department, with locations available in Chicago or New York.
Main responsibility involves reviewing UCC financing statements prepared by the firm and external parties to ensure compliance with Uniform Commercial Code Article 9 (UCC) requirements.
Core tasks include verifying debtor and secured party details, filing jurisdiction, collateral descriptions, and adherence to underlying documents and firm practices. This also involves composing review findings, coordinating filings, and maintaining related database information.
Requires a Bachelor's degree.
A Paralegal Certificate and/or understanding of UCC Revised Article 9 are preferred.
Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related professional experience.
Previous transactional paralegal or direct UCC experience is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.
Essential traits include strong attention to detail, organizational capabilities, ability to manage multiple projects, and effective written and verbal communication. Candidates should also be proactive, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines.
The typical salary range for this position is $63,000 to $83,000, with final compensation dependent on qualifications and internal alignment.
