Overview

Associate position based in Chicago, joining the Life Sciences Team within a national Healthcare practice.
Practice areas include life sciences regulatory advisory, contract review, and transactional work.
Advise on FDA compliance for drugs, biologics, and medical devices, covering areas such as product development, clearances, labeling, manufacturing, recalls, and advertising/promotion.
Counsel clients on OIG, CMS, and DOJ matters, including public/private reimbursement, drug pricing, anti-kickback, False Claims Act, and compliance program design.
Handle transactional work in the life sciences sector, including licenses, M&A, IPOs, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Debt Finance.
Represent a diverse client base, including pharmaceutical/medical device companies, academic medical centers, private equity funds, venture capital firms, and other healthcare/life sciences entities.
Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in life sciences law, ideally gained from a top 100 law firm.
Candidates should possess a strong academic record, excellent writing and oral communication skills, and a practical understanding of life sciences clients.
Prior in-house experience at a life sciences company, or employment at relevant agencies (e.g., FDA, CMS, DOJ), or life sciences coursework is a plus.
Experience with state Boards of Pharmacy regulations, DEA permitting, FDA establishment licensing, and debarment/exclusion issues is desired.
Active Illinois Bar admission is required.
Salary range: $260,000 - $365,000.
This role operates under a hybrid work model.
