Overview

Associate, Labor & Employment Department, Jacksonville office.
Provide counsel to employers on compliance, traditional labor issues, internal investigations, federal contracting, and executive compensation.
Defend employers in employment litigation across federal and state courts and arbitral forums (AAA, JAMS, FINRA).
Handle employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenant violations, wage-and-hour disputes, and ERISA claims, under statutes such as Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, FLSA, and the Florida Civil Rights Act. Also represent unionized employers in labor matters.
Requires 3-5 years of labor and employment litigation experience, specifically in depositions, legal research and writing, motions practice, and discovery.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, a strong academic record, and excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Trial experience is a plus; judicial clerkship experience is encouraged.
Active Florida Bar admission is required.
Utilize innovative technology platforms, including Harvey AI, for legal research, document drafting, and analytical work.
The position operates under a hybrid work model.
