The Public Finance Practice Group, part of the firm's Public and Private Infrastructure & Real Estate Department, guides clients through all types of tax-exempt and taxable financings for non-profit, higher education, for-profit, energy infrastructure, healthcare, governmental, waste-to-energy, recycling, and industrial sectors.
The practice helps clients with every aspect of a financing or refinancing, including reviewing, drafting, and analyzing underlying credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements; drafting and negotiating all financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions; and analyzing complex federal tax issues.
The Counsel takes a leading role on transactions, independently handling matters from structuring through closing, and serves as a primary point of contact for clients, issuers, underwriters, lenders, and other working group members.
The role includes supervising and mentoring associates and paralegals, working with partners to develop client relationships, and supporting the practice's business development efforts.
