The firm's Public Finance Practice Group, part of its Public and Private Infrastructure & Real Estate Department, advises public and private clients across sectors including non-profit, higher education, for-profit, energy infrastructure, healthcare, waste-to-energy, recycling, governmental, and industrial sectors, on all types of complex tax-exempt and taxable financings and refinancings.
The role involves reviewing, drafting, and analyzing underlying credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements; drafting and negotiating financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions; and analyzing complex federal tax issues related to financings and refinancings.
The Counsel will take a leading role on transactions, independently managing matters from structuring through closing.
Serving as a primary point of contact for clients, issuers, underwriters, lenders, and other working group members.
Responsibilities also include supervising and mentoring associates and paralegals, collaborating with partners on client relationship development, and contributing to the practice's business development initiatives.
