Advise developers, independent power producers, utilities, and infrastructure funds on renewable energy projects.
Provide tax advice on renewable energy transactions, including M&A, tax equity, tax credit transfers, and other joint ventures.
Counsel clients on specific tax issues such as 'begin construction' requirements, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship mandates under Code sections 45 and 48.
Support clients with regulatory frameworks, transaction structuring, and maximizing value from tax and energy incentives for projects nationwide across all major technologies.
Conduct diligence on real property, regulatory, and project documents for renewable energy platforms.
Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience from a law firm or Big 4 accounting firm.
Experience with tax credit transactions, tax credit transfers, tax equity financings, and tax opinion letters is preferred.
Excellent academic credentials are required; an LL.M. in taxation is highly preferred.
Compensation includes salary with hours and merit bonus opportunities, plus billable credit for pro bono work. This is a hybrid work role.
