Overview

  • This is for a Technology Transactions Associate position.
  • You should have 3-6 years of post-bar experience.
  • The role involves advising global technology companies, unicorns, and emerging disruptors on complex technology and intellectual property transactions.
  • You will work with clients in cutting-edge industries, including augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain, fintech, semiconductors, software, cloud, and as-a-service technologies.
  • Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a wide variety of technology transactions such as software, technology, and content licenses; software/technology development agreements; professional services agreements; manufacturing, collaboration, supply, and distribution agreements; and e-commerce, media, and entertainment transactions.
  • You will also assist with M&A and equity financing transactions, including drafting transaction agreements and conducting due diligence on contract and IP matters.
  • Required qualifications include strong knowledge of intellectual property law, demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills for technology transactions, and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly in both oral and written forms. Membership in the California Bar is preferred, but membership in another state bar will be considered.
  • The annual salary range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $260,000 to $365,000, which may be supplemented by a discretionary bonus.
