About the Role

This position is located in the Houston, Texas office and is open to either Associate or Counsel level candidates. The role involves managing significant cases, including strategy development and client communication. Counsel level candidates have the opportunity to progress to Senior Counsel, with potential for future consideration for Partnership, based on performance and contributions to the firm’s practice.

In this role, you'll

  • Drafting briefs, motions, and other pleadings in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Providing legal opinions on infringement, validity, and enforceability of intellectual property.

We're seeking someone with experience including

  • Admitted and in good standing with the Texas State Bar and USPTO.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property disputes with a strong focus on patent litigation.
  • Required technical degree, with a strong preference for Electrical Engineering; additional technical expertise in telecommunications, electronics, and Internet technologies is highly valued.
