Overview

  • Associate Tax Lawyer position within the Projects team.
  • Requires 2-7 years of experience as a tax lawyer.
  • Location flexibility across DC, Denver, Houston, or New York offices; other office locations may be considered.
  • Advise project developers, lenders, and investors on complex financing and tax transactions for projects including solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, and electric transmission.
  • Requires a strong background in tax law.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy incentives, such as Inflation Reduction Act tax credits, and partnership taxation is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials are required; an LLM in taxation and prior large law firm experience are preferred.
  • Base salary ranges from $235,000 to $420,000 per year (for DC, NY, and Denver offices). Bonus opportunities are performance-dependent and not guaranteed.
  • The firm provides structured development, mentorship, business development support, family-forming support, mental health resources, and a $2,500 vacation award.
