Overview

  • This is a Senior Compliance Attorney role located in Nashville, Tennessee, within the Risk Management Department.
  • You will provide support and expertise on ethical issues, conflicts of interest, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) for firm attorneys, business intake, and information security.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the onboarding of new clients, matters, and firm hires, guiding the Conflict and New Business department on firm policies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate engagement terms, waiver letters, and firmwide contracts, including IT Master Services Agreements.
  • Oversee compliance with all contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist firm partners in negotiations with external clients and vendors regarding engagement terms.
  • Manage special projects assigned by the Office of General Counsel and Risk Management team.
  • Requires 5-7 years of legal experience, ideally gained in a law firm or in-house corporate environment.
  • A Juris Doctorate (JD) and an active law license in good standing in at least one U.S. state are mandatory.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and ethics rules specific to jurisdictions where the firm operates.
  • Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational abilities, the capacity to meet strict deadlines, and handle confidential information effectively.
