This is a Paralegal position focused on Labor & Employment Litigation, based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Requires 5-7 years of litigation paralegal experience; Labor and Employment experience is preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is required, or equivalent experience.
Assist with all phases of discovery, including document organization, electronic database management, coordinating productions (Bates, redaction, deduplication, indexing), conducting factual research, and issuing Public Records Act/FOIA requests and third-party subpoenas.
Review and draft routine legal documents such as initial pleadings, answers, discovery requests/responses, summons, and affidavits.
Manage document filings with state and federal courts and agencies, including e-filing.
Provide comprehensive support for witness preparation, deposition preparation (organizing documents/exhibits, note-taking, transcript digesting), hearing and motion practice (assembling documents, proofreading, organizing exhibits), and full trial preparation and in-courtroom assistance.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and automated litigation support tools like CaseMap, Text Map, Relativity, and other e-discovery databases (e.g., Ringtail).
Familiarity with Trial Director, Westlaw, Lexis, PACER, and other online sources for public document searches and case law is preferred; ability to research court rules and state statutes.
Exceptional organizational, investigative, and communication skills are essential. Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, able to prioritize deadlines, work independently, and manage pressure.
Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours is required.
The annual salary range for this San Francisco-based role is $109,000 - $145,000, based on a 40-hour work week. This position is also eligible for annual merit increases and bonus pay.
