Serve as an Associate within the Insurance Regulatory and Transactional Practice Group, part of the Global Financial Services team, with location flexible to any U.S. office.
Requires 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in insurance regulatory or transactional matters.
Must possess a JD from an accredited law school, a strong academic record, and be admitted to the State Bar of your primary office.
Advise global, national, and regional insurance companies, private equity sponsors, and healthcare systems on complex regulatory and transactional issues.
Work includes structuring and advising on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions involving insurance companies and related businesses.
Counsel clients on insurance regulatory filings/approvals, holding company compliance, insurer formation and licensure, market entry, financial reporting, and day-to-day operational compliance.
Engage in regulatory interactions, including responding to inquiries, assisting with market conduct/financial examinations, and supporting administrative proceedings.
Requires strong technical drafting skills for agreements, regulatory filings, and corporate documents, along with the ability to research and apply state and federal insurance laws.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, initiative in managing workload independently, and excellent written/oral communication and client relationship skills.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $230,000 to $250,000, dependent on skills and experience.
