Overview

Junior to mid-level Litigation Associate opening with Squire Patton Boggs.
The role can be based in any U.S. office, with a preference for Miami or Cincinnati.
Responsibilities include handling most aspects of litigation, such as drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, arguing hearings, and managing discovery requests and responses.
The associate will also be responsible for taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial.
Candidates should have 2-6 years of experience, ideally from a top-tier firm or including a judicial clerkship.
A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and a strong academic record are required. Admission to the Florida Bar is mandatory.
Essential skills include excellent legal writing, research, organizational abilities, and strong verbal communication. Courtroom and deposition experience is preferred.
Experience with healthcare and managed care litigation is beneficial but not a strict requirement.
Senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits from start to finish. All candidates must be self-starters, able to prioritize workloads, demonstrate good judgment, and perform effectively under pressure.
