Litigation Associate position available with Squire Patton Boggs in their Miami office.
Seeking candidates with 2-6 years of post-Juris Doctor (JD) experience, preferably from a top-tier firm or following a judicial clerkship.
Applicants must be admitted to the Florida Bar.
Requires a JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; junior candidates should demonstrate an exceptional academic background.
Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, managing discovery requests and responses, and assisting with trial preparation.
The role involves taking and defending depositions, with opportunities to argue hearings; prior courtroom and deposition experience is preferred but not required.
More senior candidates should possess substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits from start to finish.
Essential skills include exceptional legal writing, research, and organizational abilities.
Experience in healthcare or managed care litigation is beneficial but not a requirement.
Candidates must be self-starters, able to prioritize workloads, exercise good judgment, and perform effectively under pressure.
