About the Team

This position is with Venable LLP’s Government Contracts group.

About the Role

You would be joining the practice as an experienced Associate, located in either the Washington, D.C. or Tysons office. The salary range for this associate position is $215,000 to $355,000. Your actual salary will be based on job-related factors, including years of related experience, education level, skills, credentials, certifications, responsibilities, and performance.

In this role, you'll

  • Work with FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Advise on the Uniform Guidance.
  • Handle investigations involving government contracts or grants.
  • Manage False Claims Act actions.
  • Address bid protests.
  • Resolve prime/subcontractor disputes.

We're seeking someone with experience including

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in the government contracts and/or grants space.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: FAR and DFARS requirements, the Uniform Guidance, investigations involving government contracts or grants, False Claims Act actions, bid protests, and prime/subcontractor disputes.
  • Law firm, government, and/or clerking experience.
  • A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and good standing with the relevant bar.
  • Strong academic credentials.
