The Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group is a globally preeminent practice assisting sponsors and developers with complex project goals across major project development sectors.
Associates collaborate with leading practitioners across the group and with M&A, Capital Markets, and Regulatory & Compliance teams on multidisciplinary projects.
The role primarily involves significant contractual work, supporting both financing and project development work streams.
Key experience required includes domestic and international Agency Lender expertise.
Duties encompass drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of documents, including credit facilities, security agreements, intercreditor arrangements, purchase and sale, procurement, project development, construction, joint venture, supply, and offtake agreements.
The position involves counseling public and private companies on joint ventures, private equity investments, and strategic transactions, along with addressing legal challenges in heavily-regulated industries.
Responsibilities extend to managing deal teams and processes, overseeing due diligence, conducting research, acting as a primary contact for clients and opposing counsel, assisting senior lawyers with international and domestic clients, and mentoring junior team members.
The work involves major, high-profile transactions often spanning months or years, necessitating flexibility in hours due to fluctuating demands.
Fluency in other languages relevant to the practice is considered a significant asset.
