This is a mid-level to senior Associate position within the Debt Finance / Americas Banking practice.
The role involves representing borrowers, lenders, and other financial institutions in a wide range of domestic and cross-border debt finance transactions.
You will focus on deal types including syndicated loans, leveraged buyouts, refinancing, structured finance, sponsored finance, acquisition finance (borrower or lender side), direct lending, and private credit.
Primary responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commitment letters, term sheets, primary loan documentation, security documents, and ancillary agreements.
You will manage deal processes from initial discussions through closing, conduct due diligence, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, opposing counsel, and transactional legal teams.
Duties also include assisting clients with ongoing deal administration (e.g., joinders, amendments, collateral matters) and providing direct support to senior lawyers.
A key aspect of the role is mentoring and training junior team members, as well as participating in continuing education and client development initiatives.
Candidates must have at least four years of substantive debt finance experience.
Required qualifications include a strong academic record, bar admission in good standing, excellent drafting skills, strong communication, project management experience, and a client-service focus.
The salary range for this position is $310,000 - $420,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus.
