The role involves working on cutting-edge, cross-office, bet-the-company matters within a global law firm, with opportunities for significant and early responsibility on leanly staffed matters, and has potential for international travel.
Associates are expected to serve as a lead on matters from day one, requiring analytical rigor to grasp legal intricacies of complex, cross-border disputes, a competitive spirit, and enthusiasm for constructing legal arguments, coupled with independence of thought and action to proactively anticipate needs and develop original solutions.
Key responsibilities include developing strategy for matters such as complex commercial litigation, class actions, business-tort litigation, arbitration-related litigation, and regulatory investigations; advising diverse clients; researching and drafting critical briefs, pleadings, memoranda, and analyses; developing and executing discovery strategies; participating in and conducting witness interviews, client meetings, and negotiations; analyzing evidence; playing a key role in client communications, depositions, expert witness preparation, court hearings, and trials; and supervising junior lawyers and support staff.
Professional development is enhanced by regular interaction with colleagues across the firm's global network, including those with specialist knowledge in Antitrust/Competition, International Arbitration, and Intellectual Property.
