Overview

Requires 3-5 years of civil commercial litigation experience from a law firm, which may include 1-2 years of a judicial clerkship. Judicial clerkship experience (Florida or federal courts) is preferred.
Position is in Miami, Florida. Must be admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing, or willing and eligible to seek admission.
Possess a strong academic record, intellectual curiosity, and creative problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate excellent legal research, writing (including drafting substantive motions and appellate briefs), oral communication, and advocacy skills.
Focus on high-stakes business disputes across various industries, including contract, class action, business tort, shareholder/partnership, antitrust, and intellectual property litigation.
Take significant hands-on responsibility as a lead associate from day one across all phases of litigation, including trials and appeals.
Draft critical documents such as briefs (including appellate), pleadings, legal memoranda, correspondence, and examination outlines.
Develop and execute discovery strategies, manage discovery processes, analyze evidence, and contribute to overall case strategy.
Play a key role in client communications, witness interviews, depositions, expert witness preparation, court hearings, and direct/cross-examinations at trial.
Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff.
Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives, including pitches and client-facing opportunities.
Proactive, resourceful, takes initiative, demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, works effectively within a team, and maintains a professional client-service focus.
English fluency is required; Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
