Overview

  • This is a Junior Tax Associate position focusing on the renewable energy and energy transition practices.
  • The role involves supporting complex transactions leveraging tax incentives, particularly those under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act.
  • Key responsibilities include negotiating and drafting tax provisions for various transaction documents, including partnership, purchase/sale, credit, construction, and offtake agreements.
  • You will draft memoranda and opinions on project qualification for tax credits, investment structuring, and coordinate internal and external resources for project development and financing.
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years of domestic taxation law experience, with a background in renewable energy tax credits, project finance, and tax equity transactions.
  • Ideal experience includes partnership tax and M&A transactions, as well as an understanding of rules for foreign entities of concern and prevailing wage & apprenticeship.
  • Required skills include excellent drafting, analytical, and communication abilities, strong judgment, proactivity, and the capacity to manage complex contractual work while meeting deadlines.
  • A strong academic record and current bar admission in good standing are essential.
  • The annual salary range for this role is $225,000 - $260,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus.
