Overview

  • Wilson Sonsini is seeking an experienced M&A attorney for a full-time Practice Support Lawyer (PSL) role within its Mergers & Acquisitions practice group.
  • This is a high-impact, non-billable position focused on elevating practice quality, consistency, and efficiency across the M&A group, with no client representation responsibilities.
  • The role offers flexibility to work on a hybrid or fully remote basis.
  • Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining M&A knowledge management infrastructure, such as standard forms and precedent libraries, and drafting external publications on legal developments.
  • You will provide internal and external thought leadership on M&A trends and drive practice innovation, partnering with the Chief Innovation Officer on new technologies and process improvements.
  • A significant focus involves leading the M&A group's AI strategy: evaluating, deploying, training attorneys, and mitigating risks associated with AI tools for workflows like due diligence, contract review, and drafting.
  • You will also collaborate on designing career development frameworks and training programs for M&A attorneys.
  • This role supports business development by maintaining external M&A resources, organizing client-facing events, and representing the firm at conferences.
  • Candidates must have a J.D. degree and a minimum of five years of M&A-focused corporate practice experience from a law firm or in-house setting, with strong substantive knowledge of M&A transactions and documentation. An interest in legal innovation is a plus.
  • The anticipated annual base salary ranges are $208,250 - $281,750 for Palo Alto, New York, and San Francisco, and $187,850 - $254,150 for other locations, with a potential discretionary year-end merit bonus.

    Why talk to Priya Gulati?

Adam Grajewski joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's San Diego office in the Corporate group.

Priya gets it done. Regardless of how strong you are as a candidate, Priya adds value to your search in ways you may not appreciate until you're in the process. She provides a personalized strategy, impeccable organization skills and responsiveness, a sterling reputation among law firm contacts, invaluable insights, dedicated interview prep and so much more. On top of that, she does her job with grace and integrity. When I had an offer in hand and was considering all options, Priya did NOT pressure me to accept the offer, and even suggested I might want to stay put if I felt a certain way. This was against her immediate self interest and speaks volumes about the kind of person and professional she is. Finally, Priya is so down to Earth and a true joy to work with. I can't recommend her enough.
