Overview

  • Associate position on the Health Law Practice transactional team.
  • Based in the Boston, New York, or Washington, DC office.
  • Requires 3+ years of strategic M&A experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Focus on joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers for large provider and private equity clients.
  • Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating transaction documents, conducting due diligence, managing deal processes, client communication, and leading smaller transactions or specific aspects of larger deals.
  • Must have experience directing and managing internal and external deal team members and specialists.
  • Qualifications include a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school and admission or eligibility for admission to the MA, NY, or DC Bar.
  • Required skills include strong academic credentials, excellent critical reasoning, superior written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to balance multiple priorities, and professionalism when working with demanding clients.
  • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine, CON/licensure) is preferred.
  • Expect to work from the office approximately 60% of the time.
  • This is an on-track partnership position.
  • The salary range for this role is $260,000 - $365,000, plus bonus eligibility.
