Serve as a Patent Agent focused on Intellectual Property Patent Prosecution.
Draft and prosecute patent applications for a diverse client base, including preparing initial applications and responding to rejections from patent offices worldwide.
Conduct in-depth analysis of scientific literature, patents, and existing applications, including comprehensive searches and comparison of inventions with prior art.
Perform freedom to operate (FTO) studies and patent clearance to assess products against competitor patents.
Collaborate with clients on innovative and cutting-edge technologies to secure patent protection and develop their IP portfolios.
Must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Requires a strong ability to present scientific concepts, analyses, and conclusions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
Preferred office locations are Boston or Washington, D.C. This role requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $220,000, with bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
